Johnny D’s tonight

The show must go on……tonight @ Johnny D’s is happening. Just because a little snow is going to fall today doesn’t stop a Bonerama show. We are here and ready to play.

Last night we played at Avon Old Farms School in Avon CT. It was a cool school that had a couple hundred boys and their teachers listening to our music. They loved it and even stood up and hollered “Who Dat” when we switched into the Saints mid stream via Turn On Your Lovelight. Seems these kids are hip to it all. They had to go to study hall after the concert so we couldn’t play an encore, though they wanted it. Now we’ve been shut down by police, neighbors and curfews, but never for study hall. That is one to add to the list. After study hall we met a bunch of the kids and they were really cool kids. They loved our music and we loved playing for them. We will be back there again.

Now off to Johnny D’s……….

Saints do it for the 1st time

Well, most of us saw the Superbowl yesterday and saw how good the Saints  were.  No more, “we’ll get em next year.”  We said that for 43 years.  Hahaaa….now we know what it’s like to have a winning team.  Yes, it was a game, but for the people of N.O. and the gulf coast and the state of Louisiana who have been through tough times since the flood 4 1/2 years ago, it was much more.  It was a shot of adrenaline.  It lifted the spirits of a city that desperately needed it.  Rich, poor, black or  white,  it gave us hope that things will be ok.  It energized a city known for its energy.

You can’t imagine the vibe of N.O. now.  We are floating and don’t ever want to come down.  It feels good at the top…hahaa….alot of yall know that feeling.  We needed that win for so many reasons and now that we have it, we’ll use it to the best of our advantage.

If you are tired of hearing Who Dat, well, you better get used to it.  You want to be part of the Who Dat Nation?  Come on, get on board.  Nothing to it.  Most of yall are there.  I’m not a fan of one world order, but the Who Dat Nation, I am a member of and will be happy if you are too.

The last few years have been tough on many levels for a lot of people.  Homes lost, families split up, relationships splintered, friendships fractured, but time heals and the Saints have helped to repair the mending our minds needed in order to move on to the next level.  And believe me, almost every one here needed it.  Music has done alot in the healing, but this win was like a mega shot of B-12 times one million.  It’s crazy, but true.

What time is it?  It’s Carnival time right now in N.O. and we are excited to hit the road this week, to the East Coast, to blast out some music for the good people there.  We’ll be representing the Who Dat Nation and want everyone to join.  It’s a new day in New Orleans.  We have a new Mayor, the Saints won the Superbowl and we feel lots of love from all of you.

WHO DAT,  baby……..
