Straight to the Maple Leaf we drove, got set up and hit the music pretty hard. We had Nori on bass and Alvin Ford on drums for both shows today. Alvin is a 21 year old with a lot of fire and intuition. This was his 3rd show with us and he comes to play as we all do. It’s great to have him on the stage with us.
It was a great crowd as the Maple Leaf is a wonderful funky place to play that’s one of New Orleans mainstays for music. Oak Street is hopping and its always fun to play The Leaf.
We also had Pat Casey showing some amazing chops on bass sitting in with us on Less Is Moore and that most familiar Meters jam tune, Cissy Strut. Thanks Pat. -ck
