Hey, while we are talking about playing on other bands and musicians records, here is another cool one Greg, Mark and I did with R.E.M. while they were in N.O. recording Collapse Into Now, due out March 8th. It was very cool to be recording songs with one of the best bands to come out of America. We even did a show last year during Jazz Fest that Mike Mills and Scott McCaughey at Tipitina’s French Quarter while the session was going on and Michael Stipe was just hanging out checking out his band mates with the mighty Bonerama all night long. We were thrilled they asked us to play on the record. Mark even had some arrangements written for the songs they asked us to play on. Check out this link to a cool Rolling Stone article. -ck

Are you a remixer? Know someone that is? We’re pleased to inform you that the fine folks at R.E.M.HQ are currently offering the public full access to almost all of the source files for “It Happened Today,” which, according to Rolling Stone’s David Fricke “features the ecstatic moan of Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder.” Audio files are available in AIF format as well as a complete ready-to0use Garageband session. You can read more about the project and download the files here:

In addition to “It Happened Today,” Bonerama is also set to appear on “Oh My Heart,” a song Fricke describes the track as “…a hymn of love to the Crescent City with deep-blue brass by the local band Bonerama…”
