Bonerama and friends tore up the Black Cat in Washington, DC on October 4th, 2010! The show was a benefit for Dear New Orleans, a compilation put together by the good folks at Air Traffic Control. Bonerama contributed 6 tracks to the album, 5 of which were drawn from a concert that occurred a year ago today, also in Washington, DC.
This show took place in conjunction with the Future of Music Coalition Policy Summit at Georgetown University. Over the course of the evening, Bonerama was joined by a wide variety of guests (many of which were in town for the summit), including Damian Kulash (OKgo), Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Hank Shocklee (The Bomb Squad), Jonny 5 (Flobots), Jill Sobule, Rebecca Gates, Erin McKeown, Tim Quirk and many more!
Top right, we have a photo of Bonerama combining forces with Hank Shocklee, who served at the MC for the evening starting things off by spinning a short set and then helping bring the guests to the stage (photo: David Herlihy). Below, we have a really cool video that shows the general insanity of the evening which a rowdy and crowded rendition of “Down By The Riverside” that starts off with a night freestyle by Jonny 5 from the Flobots (video courtesy of the Flobots).
