Welcome to the second installment of fUNKYbret’s Bones From The Vault series! If you missed the first one, click here.
Whenever I get the bug or stumble upon a cool tune as I am working my way through the Bonerama archives, I’ll dig a track out to share. Got a show or track that you want to submit to the vault? Drop me a line by clicking here.
The Hard Times Tour in October of 2009 featured countless guests, debuted songs and arrangements, and overall a lot of great music. Something that really stood out to me at the time was this reading of “Baronne,” the first track on Live From New York. Sitting in on keys for the evening was none other than Nigel Hall. While his soulful voice is not heard on this track, his velvety Fender Rhodes provides a rich lather that coats and soothes. Above all, take a close listen during middle of the tune and you’ll hear a nice “Irie” jam on a familiar tune. Drop a comment below if you recognize it!
Until next time….
