a quick update

Three & a half weeks into our Northeast US tour and we still like each other.  That is pretty remarkable in itself, but the better news is that we are playing so much that the band is tighter and stronger than ever.  Last night in Burlington we proved it as the crowd brought us back out for a second encore.  Everyone seemed a little beat up before the show, but as the music started it was clear that it was not evident to anyone.  Not even us.  Nori was in fine form leading off the whole set with a killer bass solo on the Grateful Dead song, The Other One.  It was a fun night and now we are in the Sprinter van heading to New York to do our last show there.  Every week it builds up to the NY shows with a list of guest musicians who come by.  There are lots of surprises, even to us.  Come back tomorrow to see who what and how.

Oh, just a recap of some of the shows this week.  Last Sunday was a memorable one in Lancaster at Marion Court  Room.  Our friends Mike and Donna own this cool place.  All I can say is they like to eat, drink and listen to good music, mostly N.O. stuff so we got along very well.  And they know their N.O. music.

We had played 7 shows in a row at that point and had a couple days off.  Wed. night in Somerville was really great with a packed house and David Hearhily coming up and rocking out on Ohio.  That was fun and more to come.
