We are leaving 11/6/08 to head to Berlin, Germany to play the Berlin jazz Festival and we are real excited to get there if only for one show (play Sat. and come home Sunday). We are on a bill with Roswell Rudd, the New York legendary trombonist. He has a trombone band then we come .. him and he will play a song or two with us. Probably the one, Bone Again, that he wrote for us and him when he came down this past summer to record it in New Orleans with Bonerama.
What we are really excited about is the reaction we will get from the Germans on the Obama election. They will be excited for the new beginnings that are waiting us here in America. I think they will be anticipating America to step forward once again and continue to be the great nation that we are and lead this world in the right direction for peace, understanding and good will. I think the Germans will be as excited as the majority of the people who voted for Obama are. I also think they will love Bonerama. Germans like that hard funking/rocking/swinging music. We gonna bring it to them.
